OctoEverywhere operates the OctoEverywhere.com website, which provides the SERVICE.
This page is used to inform website visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service, the OctoEverywhere website.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy. The Personal Information that we collect are used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at OctoEverywhere.com, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy was created with the help of the Privacy Policy Template and the Disclaimer Generator.
Live Links are created by a user action of the printer's owner and expose all of the printers information to the public internet due to the nature of sharing public URLs. Once a Live Link is created, all information it contains is public knowledge, including print details and the images that are part of the camera stream. By creating a Live Link, the user agrees that the printer information submitted, the printer information gathered from OctoEverywhere, and the webcam stream is public information and accessible by anyone on the Internet.
The information streamed including data and the camera feed might be stored by OctoEverywhere or our service partners for a short period of time to ensure a smooth distribution. Information stored by OctoEverywhere will be stored no longer than 14 days.
This section does not apply to images submitted to the Gadget Developer API, which are subject to the inference-only and deletion rules below.
Notification data, including printer images, are shared with the 3rd party notification providers the user sets up and maybe stored by OctoEverywhere and or the notification provider. Information stored by OctoEverywhere will be stored no longer than 30 days, unless it's annomized and all personally identifiable information is removed.
For the purpose of developing and improving OctoEverywhere features and services, image data might be anonymized with all personally identifiable information removed and retained for a longer period of time. This data will never be sold and will only be given to services that OctoEverywhere uses to operate, such as Digital Ocean and Microsoft Azure.
The following applies specifically to the Gadget developer API, which accepts images for AI-powered print failure detection.
Images sent to the Gadget developer API are used only for ML inference for the individual request in which they are submitted. Once inference is complete and that request finishes, the images are deleted from our servers. Each image is handled only for that request's processing session, not retained for the duration of a print or for future requests.
These rules apply to both free and paid Gadget developer API use. They take precedence over any general statements elsewhere in this policy about retaining images, anonymizing images, or using information to improve the Service.
We retain account identifiers, API key records, request counts, usage statistics, technical logs, billing records, and API context information such as detection settings, scores, and warning states to operate and secure the API, maintain detection context across requests, enforce usage limits, and administer billing. These records do not include the submitted images. Stripe processes account and usage information for usage tracking and billing, including tracking the free allowance.
Your API key identifies your account and allows applications to use the API on your behalf. Keep it secret, store it securely, and share it only with applications and people you trust. Do not publish it in public code, websites, or logs. You are responsible for activity performed using your key and, if you have opted in to paid usage, the resulting usage charges, including use by someone who obtains your key.
If you lose your copy of the key, sign in to your Gadget API account page to view it again. If the key is exposed, stolen, or you suspect unauthorized use, contact our support team promptly for help disabling or replacing it. Losing a key does not automatically disable it or stop previously enabled paid usage. You are also responsible for having permission to submit images, including any images submitted on behalf of other people.
You can use the Gadget developer API within its free allowance without setting up billing or providing a payment method. You will not be charged for Gadget developer API usage unless you explicitly opt in to paid usage first. Creating an API key or using the free allowance does not itself authorize charges.
The Free Usage Only setting is on by default. To opt in to paid usage, you must have a valid payment method and explicitly turn off Free Usage Only on your Gadget API account page. Adding a payment method alone does not turn this setting off. When free usage is exhausted, you can wait for the next allowance period or choose to enable paid usage.
After opting in, you are responsible for monitoring your API usage, securing your key, keeping your billing details current, and paying usage charges under the published API pricing. You can turn Free Usage Only back on from your Gadget API account page. Doing so does not cancel charges already incurred while paid usage was enabled.
You may delete all information known about you at anytime by deleting your account. At the time of deletion all information about your account and printers will be deleted, except a record of your supporter status, if you have one. This data is kept so if you were to re-make your account, your renaming supporter time will be kept. If any users wishes to have all data removed including supporter status, please reach out to our support team at anytime and we will be happy to assist.

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name. The information that we collect will be used to contact or identify you.
